More Silverware for the Potbellies

05/09/10

After a long hard first half to the season competing at 15s level with what was essentially a pool of Vets 10s specialists, it was good for the guys to jump on a plane over to Bahrain to enjoy some more 'specialist' rugby, courtesy of the 2009 Arabian Nights Midnight 10s.

The first night was a little muddled with 2 very close games and then a long break before their last game which was close to midnight, but the potbellies performed well and there was a lot of hard fought rugby going on in all games. Day 2 was long and hot and a lt of ringers were beginning to appear, but the bellies battled on.

The Potbellies finished the tournament having won 3 games, drawn 2 and losing 1 - to the eventual winners - Bahrain. The Bellies were runners up and thoroughly enjoyed their weekend.
